There can be many needs to a research project. We always use the stage gate process cutting a large idea down to manageable chunks.

A research project can include the following steps:

• Initial trials, confirming ideas or otherwise

• Refinement of trials

• Pilot plant and productionisation

Our research and development work has taken some of the most radical ideas and turned them into viable production means. Examples include:

• Baking of bread with no crust

• Unique ready meal production

• Defrosting of carbon materials

• Drying of tobacco products
