For many years Petrie has supplied large 50Ω Radio Frequency based heating solutions. These systems typically employ between 1 and 6 off 40kW RF generators operating at either 13.56MHz or 27.12MHz depending upon the application.

The high demand internally within Petrie for the supply of 40kW generators has led Petrie to develop its own design of RF generator utilising simple but reliable control systems at an affordable price. Our generators have been designed with ease of maintenance in mind.

We are now able to offer our standard RF13-40 and RF27-40 Radio Frequency generator (for 13.56MHz or 27.12Mhz respectively) directly to customers who only require an RF generator. All generators are supplied in a self contained unit incorporating driver, PA section and integrated water cooling. The generator is PLC controlled and as standard incorporates the following features:

  • Local or remote control of the generator via an independent control system.

  • Integrated automatic matching network controller.

Petrie is also able to supply bespoke Auto Matching Networks (AMN) with either air or water cooler variable vacuum capacitors to suit your specific application.
