RF Forming and Welding – Bespoke Solutions for Premium Polymers
For many years Petrie has worked with leading polymer producers to develop novel processes for the manufacture of tubes and other polymer products. Working mainly in the medical and surgical fields, the technology is versatile enough to be adapted to any process where quality is paramount.

By using Radio Frequency (RF) heating, it is possible to manipulate polymer materials in a way that is not possible using any other method. Petrie RF Forming and welding systems can shape, mould, join and form many types of polymers. Unlike conventional heat, when RF energy is applied to a polymer, it is possible to monitor the amount of energy that is absorbed by the product. This not only ensures perfect results every time, the information can also be collated and used for quality assurance.
We have the capability to take your existing process and improve it, saving energy and time and improving your customers’ satisfaction levels.
