Facilities / Commissioning

Petrie has extensive facilities to support commissioning following design and build. We can accommodate client requirements to ensure plant and equipment is fully operational before delivery to the client site for introduction into the production facilities. We have fully equipped test facilities with experienced staff to carryout the commissioning works.

Documentation and accurate record keeping are essential during the commissioning period including detailed 'as built' drawings and documentation packs. Staff training can also be provided should our clients require it, either in the form of presentations or on site training. Operation and maintenance manuals are also produced to an agreed format.

Our normal route to commissioning is through a series of approved steps. Starting at work completeness checking where mechanical and electrical components are checked and inspected to ensure correct fit and continuity through to functional testing to ensure the equipment functions to the agreed specification. This is followed by Factory Acceptance Testing where the client representatives witness operation before acceptance or commencement of commissioning.

Where Commissioning is not required to be completed at Petrie it is normal for us to complete Factory Acceptance Testing before any equipment is delivered to site for ultimate installation and commissioning.

Petrie's sister company NIS has a site installation team to either assist or complete the full installation of plant and equipment at client facilities if required.
