Expansion for China division

In 2008 Petrie Technologies' sister company, NIS, opened a manufacturing and assembly facility in Guangzhou, South China. The facility provides Petrie with the opportunity to both import and export goods and services to a growing and vibrant market place in the Far East. NIS (China) Ltd is NIS' wholly owned subsidiary company operating out of the base in China and with additional offices in Hong Kong. The company works in unity with Petrie in supplying microwave and radio frequency heating equipment to Asia.

Since the company was first established 2 years ago the team has been steadily growing in number, and after a large recruitment drive last year are still currently looking to expand further, with vacancies for two additional Sales Engineers still open. The responsibilities for these positions will be to assist with the launching of new products in the Petrie portfolio into the Asian market, with particular focus on the BAMWA oven.

The company is staffed and managed by a mixture of UK employees and local staff. To maintain the high standards expected of the group, NIS (China) Ltd has adopted the operating philosophies and core values from the UK; and to this end operates under an extension of the NIS Ltd ISO 9001 quality system.
